May 7, OHS Retirement Announcement

Dear Oxford High School Students and Families,

It is with mixed emotions that we write to communicate that Dacia Beazley is retiring from Oxford Community Schools at the end of this school year! Mrs. Beazley has been an Oxford educator for the last 17 years. Prior to coming to Oxford, Mrs. Beazley was an educator for Bay City Public Schools for 16 years.  Her career has included being a world language teacher (French), assistant principal, and building principal.

Here in Oxford, Mrs. Beazley was an Assistant Principal at OMS from 2007-2011 and at OHS from 2011-14.  Mrs. Beazley became the Principal at OMS in 2014 where she focused on relationship building and promoting the Middle Years Programme.  In 2022, she became the Principal of Oxford High School. During the last two years at Oxford High School, Mrs. Beazley has loved being back with many of her students and reconnecting with the high school staff.

Mrs. Beazley and her husband (also a principal) are both retiring this spring! They are looking forward to traveling and spending more time with their family, which includes three grandchildren.

We want to thank Mrs. Beazley for her commitment and service to all our middle and high school students during her time at Oxford Community Schools! Her smile, energy, love, and magnetic personality will be missed!

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Beazley on her retirement and thanking her for her 33 years of service in public education!

Sincerely,

Oxford Community Schools
