Dear Oxford High School Families,

Today, November 3, 2022, an OHS teacher made administration aware of some drawings found on a desk in their classroom.  The drawings were of major traumatic events in history including 9/11 and Hiroshima.  Due to the nature of the images our administration, school resource officer and safety and security team immediately began to investigate to find out who drew them and learn their intent. 

The individuals who created these drawings have been identified, and due to the nature of the images we conducted our threat assessment protocol. The students who drew the images were very forthcoming, cooperative and apologetic.  Although we cannot share further details with you due to the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), we can share with you that students are not in any danger.  

We appreciate the quick reporting to administration of these drawings and continue to encourage our school community to report school safety concerns in a timely manner.
