March 31, OHS OK2Say Tip

Dear Oxford High School Parents and Guardians,

This evening, March 31, 2024, we were made aware of an OK2Say tip reporting a concerning social media post.

The Michigan State Police and Oakland County Sheriff’s Office have deemed this social media post to be a non-credible threat. Even though it has been deemed a non-credible threat, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office investigated the situation.

Parents, please talk to your students and remind them that their words and actions matter and any student who speaks or acts inappropriately will face disciplinary consequences. If you have questions, concerns or have related information please contact your building principal.

Safety is a top priority. We appreciate the quick reporting and continue to encourage our school community to report school safety concerns in a timely manner to law enforcement and school administration. 

As a reminder, we have numerous safety layers in place such as a weapons detection system that operates 24/7; an armed security force; a weapons detection dog; and a visitor management system that continue to safeguard the school.
