Dear Oxford High School Parents and Guardians,
I wanted to give you an update on the incident that occurred December 13, 2023. The incident was reviewed and evaluated by our threat assessment team that includes a building administrator, law enforcement, a mental health professional and staff knowledgeable about the student. The Behavior Threat Assessment (BTAM) process has determined this incident does not pose a threat to students, staff, or our school community as there was no intent nor means to act on the video.
While we cannot share further details with you due to the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), please know actions have been taken in line with our school code of conduct and a safety plan has been put in place for the student which will be managed and monitored by our team.
The safety and security of our students and staff is our priority. We appreciate the quick reporting and continue to encourage our school community to continue to inform school administration and law enforcement of school safety concerns.
