AMERICAN LEGION - WALTER FRASER POST #108 SCHOLARSHIPS
Our local American Legion Post offers three separate scholarships. 
A separate application is needed for each scholarship.

American Legion Auxillary Walter Fraser Post
Deadline: Typically April

For graduating seniors who have maintained a 2.75 or higher are eligible for this scholarship.  The selection will be made on the students academic standing, goals and intentions, involvement in community and school activities.
Applications will be available in the Counseling Office.

AmVets Walter Fraser

For graduating seniors who have maintained a 2.75 or higher are eligible for this scholarship.  The selection will be made on the students academic standing, goals and intentions, involvement in community and school activities.

Arab & Chaldean Council
Deadline: Typically Early May

For high school senior of Arab/Chaldean descent, carrying a 3.0 GPA or higher and accepted to a university or college.
Applications will be available in the Counseling Office.

Bud Rowley Athletic Scholarship (see Wildcat Booster)

The Clark Fund
Deadline: Typically Early May

The Clark fund will grant a scholarship to a graduating senior who is a hardworker and in need of scholarship funds.  Students must have a GPA of 2.8-3.19.

Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan

DA/OES Alumni

Students who attended both Daniel Axford and Oxford Elementary are eligible for this scholarship.

David Barns Scholarship - David's Faith, Hope and Life Foundation
Deadline: Typically March

Scholarships will be awarded to both a senior male and female high school athletic who embodies David's athletic ability, academic achievements and community involvement. 
Eligible high school seniors must attend school in Genesee, Lapeer, Oakland, or Macomb counties.

Detroit Economic Club
Deadline: Typically Mid March

To be eligible, applicants must be a graduate of a high school located in the City of Detroit, or Wayne, Oakland or Macomb counties and entering their first year of college in the fall.

Devon Clark Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: Typically April

This monetary award is given to an OHS student who will be attending an automotive program at Ohio Technical College.

Donovan Xavier Baker Scholarship Fund
Deadline: Typically Early April
This memorial scholarship is given to a graduating African-American male who resides in Wayne, Oakland or Washtenaw counties and plans to attending a 2 year college, 4 year university, trade or technical school.

Engineering Society of Detroit Scholarship
Deadline: Typically End of March

ESD will be offering on or more $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will be pursuing a career in engineering of the life sciences.  The award(s) will be presented at the Society's annual awards program held in June.  All applicants will receive a one-year complimentary Student Membership in The Engineering Society of Detroit.

James "Jamie" Charles Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: Typically Late April

The scholarship funds are provided as an honor to the memory of James R. "Jamie" Charles.  Jamie embodied the qualities established as criteria for the award: good attitude, good citizenship, community involvement, friendship and sportsmanship.  Applicants must have consistently involved with either extracurricular activities through Oxford Schools or community based programs.

Lakes Community Credit Union

This scholarship program is designed to help students who demonstrate a desire and commitment to continuing their education.

Lapeer County Republican Party Scholarship
Deadline: Typically March

For graduating high school seniors who are physical residents of Lapeer County.
Applications will be available in the Counseling Office.  
Lewis Wilson Music Scholarship

The Lewis Wilson Music Scholarship is an annual $1000 award for a graduating Oxford High School student who plans to pursue a college education with a major or minor in music.

Lusk Albertson
Deadline: Typically Mid April

Any Senior from a district that is served by the Lusk Albertson law firm.  Oxford qualifies for this scholarship.

McDonald's of Oxford - James McMahan Memorial
Deadline: Typically Early May

Students applying for this must have a part-time job and be involved in extracurricular activities.  Your part-time job does not have to be with McDonald's.

Michigan Retired School Personnel - North Oakland Chapter
Deadline: Typically Mid April

Awarded to students exhibiting a grade point average between 2.0 and 3.4 and exhibiting outstanding character.
Applications will be available in the Counseling Office.
Stephen J. Mobley Scholarship
Deadline: Typically Mid May

Awarded to a graduating senior pursuing a degree in engineering.
Applications will be available in the Counseling Office.

Oakland Career & Technical Educator's Association
Deadline: Typically Late March

Awarded to a Oakland County Graduation senior who has participated in a State Approved Career & Technical Education Program.  Students must have a 2.0 or greater GPA.

Oakland Community College Chancellor's Scholarship
Deadline: Typically Late March

The Chancellor's Scholarships are awarded to one student from each public or private Oakland County high school and one student from each qualified Adult Education/Alternative Education center.

Oakland County Credit Union 
Deadline: Typically Mid-May
The Oakland county Credit Union scholarship program will award five $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors the May.  
Application will be available in the Counseling Office.

Oakland County Farm Bureau Scholarship
Deadline: Typically Late May
Requirements: Enrolled in a major agricultural-related program of study and must have participated in an agriculture activity as part of their 4-H project experience.

Oakland County Republican Party Lincoln Scholarship
Deadline: Typically Mid May
Theme: Students may submit an essay, video, or other creative work on the theme of “What Makes America Great”.  Applicants are encouraged to highlight elements of American culture which exemplify our exceptionalism as a nation and the importance of protecting it for future generations

Orion Art Center - Joan Brace Scholarship Competition
Deadline: Typically Early May
For graduating students of the class of 2015 from school districts surrounding the Orion Art Center and intending to major in the visual arts at an accredited college.

Orion/Oxford Soccer League Scholarship
Deadline: Typically Early April

Eligible senior must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2/75 and must have played soccer for Oxford High School a minimum of two seasons.

Oxford Education Association Scholarship
Deadline: Typically Mid May

This scholarship is presented to an Oxford High School Senior who intends to major in the field of Education and who is  in good academic standing and on track to graduate.

Oxford Junior Wildcats (OJW) College Scholarship - Cheerleader
Deadline: Typically Mid April

This scholarship is given to a Oxford High School senior who participated in the OJW cheerleading, is involved in community service, possesses leadership skills and has had strong academic success.

Oxford Junior Wildcats (OJW) College Scholarship - Football Player
Deadline: Typically Mid April

This scholarship is given to a Oxford High School senior who participated in the OJW football,  is involved in community service, possesses leadership skills and has had strong academic success.

Oxford Lions Club
Deadline: Typically Late March

Awarded to Oxford Community Schools students living within school district.  Applicants need to carry a 2.0 GPA or better and intend to enter a 2-4 year college program or a recognized established trade school and have community service hours.

Oxford Rotary
Deadline: Typically Late April
For any senior graduating with a minimum 3.2 grade point average.

Oxford Rotary - John & Virginia Hubbard Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: Typically Late April

For graduating seniors who were members of the Women's or Men's Golf team and maintained a 3.2 or higher grade point average.

Oxford Wildcat Booster Club Athletic Scholarship
Deadline: April 13, 2018

An award in the amount of $1,000 each will be presented to a senior male and female student athlete at Oxford High School who has earned a varsity letter in two sports, who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities, demonstrated high moral character and service to the community and their school and maintained 2.5 or higher GPA.

Oxford Women's Club
Deadline: Typically Late March
Presented to a graduating senior living within the Oxford School District or attending an Oxford area school.  Student must carry at least a 2.0 GPA.

Pay It Forward Scholarship
Deadline: Typically Late April

This local scholarship was founded in the honor and memory of former Oxford High Student Megan Abbott.  The recipient of this award will show the following qualities among others: positive attitude, concern for classmates, respect of others, good citizenship, and friendship.

The Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Co and Community Insurance Merit Scholarship

Awarded to an OHS senior who is pursuing a baccalaureate in a business/management or insurance related field and has been accepted to an accredited college or university.

Russell W. Ligon Memorial Engineering Scholarship

This scholarship is available to high school seniors or present college students planning to study engineering or computer science.

Society of Women Engineers - Detroit Section

The Detroit Section of the Society of Women Engineers annually recognizes high school females who have shown exemplary abilities in areas such as leadership, academics, and community activities.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Voice of Democracy Scholarship
Deadline: October 31, 2017

Since 1947 the Voice of Democracy has been the Veterans of Foreign Wars' (VFW's) premier scholarship program.  Students compete by writing and recording an audio essay on an annual patriotic theme.  This year's theme is, American History: Our Hope for the Future.

Youth Advisory Committee Scholarship

Available to student attending a vocational school right after graduation.
