JOINED OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
June 2022

I am an Oxford parent and while this is my first year teaching American Sign Language, I am excited to continue growing our ASL program in Oxford! My family has lived in Oxford since 2013, and I love our community! After seeing my own kids thrive in our district schools, I decided to help out any way I could and join the amazing staff of educators in Oxford Community Schools. Students are individuals with their own set of strengths, interests, experiences and needs. My classroom philosophy is to make this time we have together fun! My purpose is to help ready our students for life by not only teaching them a new form of communication, but to love themselves, our differences, and to feel safe and seen in my classroom. It is the greatest joy getting to know each and every student that walks through my door. I also oversee our student-run American Sign Language Club, a group of amazing, kind-hearted humans who love spreading awareness for the Deaf community!
I have a wonderful family here in Oxford with 3 of my own Oxford Wildcats at our Elementary and Middle School institutions. I love spending time with my kids, skiing in the winter, golf in the summer, reading, running and playing with our dogs.
