I believe in a student-centered classroom. I work to find balance between student and teacher interaction in order to cultivate a high-level thinking classroom. I believe that I can learn as much from my students as they can learn from me. Building student/teacher relationships that value trust, respect, and feeling safe in my class are a top priority. As a result, I work to build the relationship between student-student, and teacher-student so all students feel welcome to partake and be engaged in their own learning.

When students leave my classroom, I want them to leave with confidence, not only in the material they have mastered throughout the semester but also in themselves.

I've been a student my whole life and am constantly searching for ways to expand my knowledge. I find that the more you learn, the more you can help others. When I'm not studying, I enjoy spending time with my four sons and husband at the hockey rink or soccer field supporting what they love.
