JOINED OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
August 2021

I started teaching Automotive Technology for the Lapeer Co. Technology Center in 2005 and in 2018 I transitioned to Mott Community College until 2021 in which I began here in Oxford. I have been a Skills USA advisor, Member of MITES and helped run the state MITES Automotive Competition in the past. As a CTE teacher, part of my background was working in the automotive field for eight years as a technician. I hold ASE certifications in advanced engine performance, general maintenance, and as a ASE master technician which includes eight different areas of automotive repair.

We, as educators, are not just teaching our students a subject, but something more. We must prepare our students for life after school. When we consider students leaving our classrooms and entering the real world, we want to give them the tools to be successful and to also help create and add to the world they will be living in. To help lead us towards this vision, ideas like initiative, attendance, and respect are all skills that should continue to be included in our classroom environment.
