JOINED OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
August 2019

I have been teaching since 2018. Prior to working in the classroom I was able to participate in research related to both of my passions: education and biology. My favorite research positions included working with MSU's department of Educational Psychology focusing on student feelings of belonging and their achievement in the classroom and MSU's department of Biomedical Engineering working on mini optogenetic devices that are used to treat depression, Parkinson's, and epilepsy. My classroom philosophy is to "Keep Creativity in the Science Classroom."

I enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, and just being outside (one day I hope to learn how to rock climb). I have a cat named Mochi who is a handful and very spoiled. I am always trying to find new books to add to my book case and one day I will read them (at least that is the goal)!
