JOINED OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
June 2006

Welcome to my classroom! Since the 2006 school year, I've had the privilege of educating students at Oxford High School and the opportunity to grow with the district. The majority of my day is spent teaching Language Arts 9. I also have been proud to serve as the Journalism and Yearbook Adviser for several years now. My goal is to grow these programs and work closely with the digital media teachers to help create a student driven media network where student reporters can accurately and responsibly cover the issues and report the news to students, parents, and the community.

The Winter of 2013 was a landmark in my career as I began teaching the IB Diploma Program capstone course, Theory of Knowledge. This is a course in critical thinking that I think all students should take, but one that is reserved for our Diploma Program. One of my out-of-the-classroom accomplishments I'm most proud of is starting our first District Lacrosse team. With the help of parents, I was fortunate enough to coach the first two seasons of Oxford Lacrosse. The contribution and dedication of the players and parents are the real reason the team is now one of the most exciting varsity sports to follow. just glad I was able to go along for the ride.

I currently live with my wife and two sons in Royal Oak. When not working or spending time with family, you can usually find me at Detroit Skating Club playing hockey.
